The Construction College is an identified Newark Town Investment Plan project which delivers new training opportunities for young people and retraining for adults in Newark with the intention of securing both employment and high qualifications within the construction sector for learners.
Brought forward by Lincoln College Group as part of Newark College, and opened in September 2021, this scheme offers courses in plumbing, gas safety, joinery, brick laying and stone masonry – sectors which are crying out for qualified personnel and which are offering genuine, stable employment opportunities for the learners with these skills. Working closely with industry partners, the Construction College has already secured work experience placements for several of its students, and a permanent offer of employment for two learners.
