Our Projects

At its core, the CAV has been designed to tackle poor social mobility and deprivation by providing a much needed and complimentary range of services to the local community. The CAV has been designed by partnership working to respond to local conditions that are hindering social mobility and the ability for residents to make a full contribution to Newark’s local economy. Significant engagement has been undertaken to capture the views of residents, education partners, corporates and other stakeholders and shape this initiative. The range of community focused provision will include:

• State of the art sports and leisure facilities;
• An Olympic standard climbing wall;
• Integrated health and wellbeing care;
• Childcare provision for 20 children;
• Music and Arts facilities;
• Hot desking working space for new or start-up businesses;
• High quality conferencing and function facilities; and,
• Additional jobs, apprenticeships and volunteering opportunities.
